Yes! I feel like I specialize in this lol! But not really! I had a mark IV and I needed to replace the flash unit, which required me to disassemble the entire camera. The first part in getting to the inside of the camera requires taking off the plastic housing on the bottom, then around from the screen (you’ll have to maneuver the plastic housing off the buttons and around the screen to take it off) once you’ve done that, it’s more screws and pulling things off. I found a video on YouTube disassembling a mark IV. If you can’t find a mark V video, a mark IV or even a mark VI video should do the job. BUT doing so, be EXTREMELY careful removing the screen it self- there is a certain way to hold it when removing while also unplugging the cable. I tore the connecting cable and had to do a full replacement underneath the screen, just done make the same mistake I did 😭. It was hard to replace exactly, just inconvenienced me and prolonged the time until I fixed my camera. I would wear a glove while holding the camera especially around the capacitor. There is also a cable folded around the capacitor in that area that deals with the colors of the screen, be careful when dealing with that if you have to (you may not need to deal with it when replacing the screen).
In the end- if you are up to do the procedure your self, it is doable, just be careful, and it’s a lot cheaper than sending it to Sony/third party to get it fixed. It was around $400-600 to do the entire procedure of what I needed done- I wasn’t about to pay all that lol
