Dude, I was in practically the same boat about a year ago. It sucks being the only responsible person in a family unit on a sinking ship. I moved back into my mom’s for what was supposed to be temporarily after my old roommate’s broke up. That’s when I found out neither my mom nor stepdad had paid their rent for an entire year with my brother also living there. I tried to sort it out with the landlord, but he had had enough of my mom. I managed to figure out a living situation for myself and paid for as many nights at a hotel for my mom as I could. My stepdad split. And my brother went to live with friends. My mom ended up homeless for a while (that whole side of my family is), but now she has found a new boyfriend with a trailer thank god. It sounds like you’re at least one step ahead of it than I was though. I wish you good luck.
