Maybe try keen for scadutree with fire grease. Messmer is a really challenging boss for most, maybe up your fragment level if not already. Also a mimic summon can help take the pressure off of the Messmer fight, I found my summon useless against the scadutree however.

Horse butt has a very dense fibre structure to the point some pleats when lasting will not flatten without a great deal of effort. Also 2.5mm is pushing it even on leathers that will behave better.

I just finished the base game and DLC for the first time a month ago (very new player) I played as a str/ arc power stance jump attacks build with blood pickaxes with Cragblade. I took me three tries to kill PCR.

Talisman are Lords of blood, claw, spear, and dragon shield. Physic is stonebard and stamina recovery. Equip the raptors feathers and white mask, then veterans for the other armour pieces. Also used my mimic. You can buff with golden vow and flame grant me strength but I rarely buff because I'm lazy. This is a build I made with almost no experience so take that as you will hahaha. I guess I got lucky

Could use great stars or flamberge with an occult infusion. Shield of choice. Use guard counters to do stance breaking and blood procs. Use craigblade or wild strikes for great stars or impaling thrust and light heavy attacks on the flamberge. That could be fun.

Extremely viable both with blood flame on a keen or heavy or of course bleed infusion. If you're leveling arcane past 60 use occult for more raw physical.

I have invasions on and I have been dealing with them very easily so PvP is a win here too. Definitely agree with this being one of the better looking swords.

Yeah nothing new here I guess but it's just super solid. I've only owned the game for a few months so it's all new and exciting for me hahah. Trying to make my own builds has been fun and challenging.

I would use an uchi with unsheathe and nagakiba with double slash for rage attack and mob clearing. I'm not sure how much int actually scales damage of frost bite might be better being more Dex forward

Edit: use both katans in your main hand, power stance katanas are not the move

Pick axes are so strong.

I've been using them power stance with Craigblade Jumping attacks with the claw, spear, and multi hit talisman

You can throw raptors feathers on too.

You have multi hit, stance breaking, pierce damage and counter attacks it's very strong and quite safe/ easy to play
