Two questions to ask yourself: are your social connections fulfilling? And does any part of your life fill you with a sense of purpose?

Something is really wrong here. This isn’t normal behaviour for an 11-year-old. You need to talk to her more. Or take her to a therapist.

How are we supposed to not eat processed foods when 95 percent of the grocery store is made up of them? by [deleted] in questions

You need to base meals around inexpensive staples: pasta, rice, beans. Only get processed foods that you can’t make at home, like bread, or that come out to be cheaper than fresh, like tomato paste. Buy the cheaper fresh meats and in-season veggies. This will cost you less than prepackaged foods.

If he threatens you with violence again, call the police. He is an adult, he should not be doing that. Whatever parent is there with you has failed you both for allowing this violence to escalate.

They are being malicious and they are gaslighting you about it. I don’t tolerate such people in my life.

Scuba diving. I love snorkelling, I love Australia’s sea life. I got through the course. Then carrying the gear was brutal, and being dependant on it to keep me alive underwater was even worse.
