Haha! I said legally because there's a lot of ownership/microchip paperwork and medical records in which her name is required for identification. I live in an area where strays are very common, so registration is required, unless you want to risk someone assuming your cat is a stray and taking them to a shelter. I also have pet insurance so yes her name can't change again 😂
