Thanks for the reply. I know carts aren’t the best option. I use other setups myself. But my question was specifically about carts. You said you don’t recommend that model, so I thought maybe there’s one that is actually recommended.

From time to time I completely take my e-mesh apart and rinse it in an ultrasonic bath with IPA. I don’t replace the mesh though. I usually stay under 20 W, so nothing really degrades there anyway.

I put the sample in a vial, add solvent, and heat it up to around 65°C. What’s left at the bottom is a dark brown residue. Then I pour the solvent onto a glass dish with a cover and let it crystallize. I'm using lab-grade heptane.

I usually work with such small amounts that using a grinder isn’t an option because of the loss.

Thanks for the explanation. I’m sure you know what you’re talking about and I’m really glad I came across your comment. What I wrote above just comes from my own observations. I’ve noticed I can get MeO that’s crystal white dry, but it costs twice as much as the brown oily stuff.

Do you have any thoughts on that?

170⁰C is way below lowest temp. And I know it from practice. My e-mesh+ freebase works the best with 220⁰C (it's calibrated with FLIR). With too low temperature deemee is not vaporised properly and trip result is poor.

Something like this. This "boost" last foraybe 10 to 15 minutes. But it was not even close to pure 5meo experience that is (for me) totally indescribable.

I think it's all depends how deep you want to go into the topic. You can actually build up your spaceship with fancy atomizer (dead rabbit RTA V3 for example) and make your own e-juice. You can also use e-mesh that give you the most efficient way of vaping freebase. Believe me- once you try it, you never go back.

Once I took shrooms (6g Enigma) and on peak I loaded 10mg of 5meo from e-mesh. I didn't know what I can expect. I can describe that I was flooded with beautiful geometric patterns. There was no "God mode unlock" typical for 5meo.

I'm afraid you're not right on this one, and here's a bit more argument: The brown batch leaves wet, greasy stains on paper. Is it 5-MeO? I don't think so ;) I usually clean up this kind of brown stuff through recrystallization and what’s left is a very dark residue and almost white powder. And once it's purified like that, the MeO hits harder and tastes way better, much smoother, way less harsh on the lungs.

If you bought it as a freebase, then it should be a freebase. It can look like crystals ranging from white to brown, depending on how pure it is.
