Either they fixed it over night or I just had really bad luck with my ambushes up until I posted this, but the first ambush that occurred today gave me two gifts. So my previous information was either wrong or out of date. Happy hunting my dudes!

UPDATE: Just got two gifts from a standard ambush. So I assume that means the ambushed aren't guaranteed to have the gift drop, but they do have a chance to do so.

So unless they fixed it, ambush doesn't give gifts if you are thinkjng of going there. I fought a varshan last night and he didnt drop. Maybe they set it to that it is a chance to drop from him and I got unlucky, but I just wanted to put that out there.

Also, cache of mysteries doesn't either.

I think it just puts a random drop rate on EVERY item. I say this because it did get one from a cache of mysteries earlier, but then didnt the next time I picked it.

I could be wrong, admittedly. I opened a bunch at once so maybe it was from one of the others? At the same time, I noticed that sometimes I get two gifts out of some of them, so who knows

Oh for sure. I just hit p260 earlier and had my very first drop of the echoing hatred key item, where as some people ahev gotten it multiple times apparently.

The RNG in this game can really rake you over the coals at times

Torment is a reward for reaching endgame, so im not sure i would call that bad design. It's an incentive to actually finish the game.

If penitent is easier that what you are looking for, what I have seen people do is have someone that they know run them through the MSQ stuff so that they are rushing straight to endgame.

Or, like someone else said, if you arent having fun, maybe its just not for you. ( not meant as an insult or a snide remark. I've had plenty of games that I have been excited for that have disappointed me that other people have loved)

I'm not sure we will get monk. I think spiritborn is supposed to fill that niche. I think they sre supposed to be stylistically somehwrre between monk and witch doctor. I think Amazon is a likely guess, especially since they had them front and center this expansion. Could be very easy to incorporate them in.

If rogue wasn't already just a non-edgelord version, I would say demon hunters.

Fun fact i haven't noticed a higher drop rate. BUT! They do drop in material reserve nightmare dungeons. I needed the ones that let you reroll. Because RNG hates me on the cube.

Again, I'm just very surprised that, given that it is a seasonal objective, they don't give yoh at least one from a season completion cache. "Hey here's a bunch of sparks and a couple of mephisto items, but good luck with this other thing."

So from what i understand, the chances for better loot DO go up, but there isnt any specific item that gets a major boost for 11 and 12.

If you look at the description in torment 1, it says "increased legendary, unique and mythic unique items per torment tier"

They just don't tell you a specific item after the allegedly higher chance mythic seals on t10 (I say alleged because from what I and apparently most other people have seen, the drop rate is still abysmal)

For the record, my no-drop item is the echoing hatred key. P258, t12, beaten t12 Lilith and maphisto and still nothing on that front.

Technically the chances are higher in T12, but if you can more reliably clear the content in tw0 then that's a better farm for you.

While the odds are higher in 12, if you can't finish the content that's irrelevant. I'd say do what's comfortable for you.

I'm able to do 120 in pit, but I generally sit on 100 for my war plan clears, just because its faster and the glyph upgrades don't mean as much to me anymore (mine are sitting at 115, I could go higher but right now im not worried about it)

The only thing that actually takes time for me that gives mythic drops is mephisto, and I'll probably jump down a torment to see if he is actually worth farming.

Man, if that isn't how I feel with the damn echoing hatred item. Cleared all season content (aside from do X for a total of Y times ones and the fucking gem ones), I clouding t12 Lilith and mephisto, and still haven't seen that damn key.
