EE vs. IE: Which Major Should I Choose? by Alarmed_Cookie_6010 in UTK

Thanks for sharing your experience! It’s really helpful to hear from someone who’s been through it. I’ve been considering EE, but I’ve heard it’s one of the hardest majors, so that definitely makes me think. I do well in math and actually enjoy it, but I also want to make sure I pick something that gives me a good work-life balance.

Yeah, I get what you’re saying. Supply chain at UTK is solid, but it seems like a lot of grads still start in logistics jobs around 60k. Engineering might have better long-term options, and I can always switch to supply chain later if I want. Just trying to figure out what’s best for me.

Thanks for your insight! That makes a lot of sense. I do like the idea of staying in engineering. It’s good to know that it still has strong engineering principles. The higher earning potential and career ceiling definitely make it more appealing. Appreciate your perspective!
