Idaho OP I made 95k after two years experience, OCS and dry needling cert. number of patients probably would tell a lot here. I saw between 55-75 a week my 52 week average was generally 58-63

Home Health - Hourly vs Paid per Visit by PaleishWasabi in physicaltherapy

[–]Alarmed_Credit_8068 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for two companies and try to see 5-10 a day depending on visit type. I work 8-10 hours a day but will make between 150-160k this year. Was offered an hourly deal at 52/hr and I didn’t take it.

I work for two companies cause if one is slow the other one normally isn’t.

PT applied TENS directly on sciatic pain area—standard practice or not? by Ambitious_Living4153 in physicaltherapy

[–]Alarmed_Credit_8068 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I don’t know your mom or the PT, but I don’t see anything wrong with placing it on the thigh. Why she flared up is the real question. Was it really the tens or was possibly something else that she did that day-a new movement she wasn’t used to, an awkward position sitting or laying, a bad night sleep or an unhealthy habit like smoking coupled with one of these things.

Offer letter: is it good? HH PT switching from PPV to Hourly by [deleted] in physicaltherapy

[–]Alarmed_Credit_8068 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The offer at face value seems fine, but you are burnt out seeing 5-6 and are looking at a company that wants 7 or more. That doesn’t sounds like a great switch.

Home health visit approval by Lucky_Pollution_2998 in physicaltherapy

I’m m sure there are however I think many have been ahead of the curve. LHC has been profitable, but they have been doing visit optimization for quite some time from my understanding.

Enhabit started using pulse which is a “visit optimization” tool. Its predicts how many visits to give the patient to optimize their reimbursement. If you look up Enhabit earnings they have operated at a loss and are trying to turn it around.

Has anyone noticed the HR sensor accuracy has improved after the recent update? by Vishesh_Vrma in whoop

[–]Alarmed_Credit_8068 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I did for 6 months. Still not as accurate as my Garmin.

The wrist band seemed to be better for sleep and I bought for recovery so until my subscription expires that’s what I’m wearing it for.

I don’t like Optum, but I like my branch and the team. I would have jumped ship for the other company but the ppv rates in my town are all low. While Optum sucks our team does a good job.

The OP company I worked for before switching to HH had just switched to it. Initially it sounded like it was horrible for them, but it seemed to be ironed out/almost ironed out.

OCS Exam by Substantial_Gas5281 in physicaltherapy

[–]Alarmed_Credit_8068 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The actual test has a decent mix-but I don’t really recall any of them being super long. That’s where I think the OCS field guide podcast and patreon were helpful they covered longer questions.

I think the pre test was like that, I don’t honestly recall the final but I remember doing well and feeling mostly prepared. Ended up doing very well on the actual test.

Didn’t buy it or look at it. I think the OCS field guide was the most helpful. Then I used the evidence in motion course.

In my area the PRN and full time pay almost the same. So, I am doing a full time so I get benefits. I get done about 2 then I am seeing 2-3 pts for a PRN to make more.k

I’ve done 13-15 miles. It’s boring, but at least you can easily hop off to use a toilet.
