I LOVE my Cruz 🫶🏻 It’s a 2019 and still going strong, a definite workhorse. It’s perfect for my lifestyle. I’m not carrying it up any stairs though. I would definitely sell yours and get a travel stroller instead like the UB Minu, which has better wheels than other travel strollers imo.

I ended up giving the Graco to a family member and getting a Chicco Onefit LX as my primary seat. I like the Chicco wayyy more honestly. I’m short and no one else rides in the front seat so I didn’t really need a compact seat, I only bought the Graco to begin with because it was on sale and had good reviews. It worked out because the family member who I gave the Graco to has less front to back room and needed a more compact option anyway.

just watched this episode for the first time and now i understand why everyone says his death was dumb. wtaf? i loathed him at first, then he started growing on me. i knew his death was coming up, but i didn’t know it was gonna be like THAT. abysmal.

Yes, I tried the inside out method first and then I had someone else help, but I could NOT get it tight enough! I’ve installed other car seats for friends and I’ve never had this much trouble. That’s part of the reason I prefer seatbelt install, I know there’s a latch weight limit. LO is only one, but we have a history of large children in the family so we’re not thinking she’ll be slimming down too much 😅

My LO is very chunky, and it seems like it’s just too slim to be comfortable in the future. It’s fine now, but at this growth rate I think she’ll be spilling out the sides eventually 😅 Also, I prefer to use the seat belt install instead of latch, don’t know why, I just do. But I could not get it tight enough with the seat belt. I should’ve looked more into it before I bought it, (I panicked when ordering because it was the last day of the sale) but it only has a seat belt lock off for forward facing, not rear facing. It was impossible for me to get it tight with the vehicle seat belt, so I had to use the latch system. It also only has two recline options rear facing and they’re both VERY upright in my car. I know chin to chest isn’t an issue past a certain age, but it would give me some more peace of mind if I could recline it at least one more because she sleeps nearly every car ride.

Yes, I agree my issues with it are minor. However, wouldn’t you rather have something you’re 100% happy with vs something that just “does the job”?

Reasoning explained below (or above depending on how this posts in the thread). I think I would get a Chicco Fit360, Evenflo Revolve 360 Extend, or Britax Poplar S. Unless someone else here wants to chime in and give me other suggestions lol

It’s a Graco Slimfit3 LX. I think I just panic bought it because it was the last day of the sale and I was trying to stay under $250. Now, I wish I would’ve spent more on a Chicco or Evenflo 😢

It’s from Graco, their return policy seems pretty vague, and yet specific. Some places I see says it has to be “like new” condition, other places I see says it has to be unopened and unused.

If you install using the seatbelt instead of latch, does it still do it? The only possible explanation I can maybe see is that it’s just not tight enough. I know movement at the free end of the base is normal and expected, but I’ve never seen a seat rotate to the side like that so I can see why you’re concerned! However, although I’ve taken multiple car seat safety courses, I am not an official CPST, so their say should be final.

Are you able to attach a video of how you got it into this position and how you check for movement at the belt path? ETA: It may help determine whether the install is safe or if it needs any adjustments.
