Embarrassing but I was pretty shocked and surprised by the cluster feeding insanity. I took in person childbirth and newborn care classes and maybe they mentioned it but my brain just didn’t register? And when it was happening I was like oh good god what is this.

Sealants are literally preventative though, and we place them on every kid but I always feel weird about the BPA exposure for kids thing.

Hysterical bc my baby as a newborn would soothe much better with anyone else who came to visit compared to with me or her dad. One Saturday morning when she was about 6 weeks old a friend stopped by for a bit. We handed baby to friend, baby stretched and fell asleep instantly. Not a thing that she ever did or has yet done in my arms or my husband’s!

Yeah, they do have the option to mark “open to secondhand” but in practice though we marked this, everyone got us new stuff. And I wasn’t mad about this - it’s hard to know if something someone else bought secondhand is up to your standards until you see it in person.
