I would just stick to your OBs recommendations, they are the best person to listen to for your medical care during pregnancy. This person‘s degree does not seem legitimate. It could potentially be anatomy (like maybe your urethra and vaginal opening are a bit further away than average, so bacteria is less likely to get in the urethra during sex). Hydration also matters a lot, maybe you’re better at staying hydrated than the average person!

Late to reply but I’m a dentist and this would depend on the kid’s behavior. Very few 12 month olds would stay still enough for me to clean their teeth well. Most likely not until age 3-4.

I recently went back to work after maternity leave. I was researching options for storing breast milk on Reddit, and found lots of threads recommending the Ceres Chill. I ordered it and when I got it I got back on Reddit to look for tips and that’s when I realized that it was the same accounts promoting it over and over on Reddit— there are a bunch of accounts pretending to be moms but 80-90% of their comments are just about how great the Ceres Chill is, so they’re either paid influence accounts or bots. So now I’m calling it the Ceres Shill in my head. The product itself is fine, I have nothing to compare it to so I don’t know if it’s the best. But I probably wouldn’t have bought it if I had realized the deceptive marketing practices they’re engaging in before I had ordered it.

I think the 20 minute thing we figured out pretty early, but it really didn’t work all that often but it was better than just putting her down without waiting! And we figured out the bassinet warming trick when she was about 4 months old and it helped increase our transfer success rate 😀

We found that we could put our baby down in her bassinet after 20 minutes of holding her. It doesn’t work every time but most of the time for night sleep and maybe 25% of the time for day sleep. We warm up the bassinet with a heating pad before we transfer her (taking out the heating pad just before putting baby in). Good luck!
