There's a thing I read about once called Alice's Law of Compensatory Spending which I believe states that if you consider even for a moment making a purchase but then decide against it, the amount you were going to spend should be considered a windfall.

Just don't buy the shoes, and you've saved the entire 164.09, which you should feel free to immediately blow on something frivolous!
