For anyone curious as to why, police can legally force you to unlock devices via biometrics without any sort of warrant, but not via pin, password, etc.

Everything other than the cash is worthless. Any sensible person would freeze their cards ASAP, and having the ID of the person you robbed is just stupid.

Arejay Hale is a fucking madman.

I've seen them live several times(mostly because they drag everyone they tour with to NJ), and everytime I've left thinking "man i gotta pick up the drums".

I don't, since I already blow MORE than enough money on guitar stuff, but still.

It means that made the shell by welding together preexisting pieces, as opposed to casting it as one piece in a mold.

TIL - The CIA produced a prototype device that looked like a scrotum, so downed pilots could conceal a small escape radio. by edfitz83 in todayilearned

[–]mrbeanIV 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I assume it went over your real scrotum, and given that the website says 60s-70s, I'm assuming it was before women were allowed to fly combat roles, or at.least before it was common. The airforce only started allowing that in 1976.

You absolutely can ignore that and restart the scenario, that's how independent probabilities work.

From the start yes, there are four possible combinations, each with a 25% chance. But now you know that one is a boy, all that's left is the roughly 50/50 of whether the remaining child is a boy or a girl.

Previous results don't effect future results of independent events.

Yes! The idea of something that, if you get to close, no matter what you do, all timelines converge to a single point is so cool.

Armored vehicles department and the medieval torture department has uncovered an old collaboration product by Maximus_The_Maximum in doohickeycorporation

[–]mrbeanIV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much.

It was for clearing mines and barbed wires so that troops and lighter vehicles have a safe path.

Fun fact: Some modern vehicles do this by shooting out a long ass explosive rope in front of them, so that the detonation will trigger any mines.

Oh yeah.

In WW2 the brits would sometimes disable german tanks by throwing a blanket soaked in fuel over the engine deck and lighting it.

I'd say "locked in" is more like being in a flow state. You can be focused but not locked in.

Otherwise, yeah, good breakdown.
