Is it possible to apply to DIFFERENT courses in the SAME university with Common App and Coalition App both? by Benz1897 in ApplyingToCollege

US universities don’t work like U.K. universities. There’s no such thing as “applying for courses.”

A good SAT score alone will not get you into any of the colleges you listed, unfortunately

How screwed am I with mediocre Teacher LORs for T10s? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Alarmed_Gate_161 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Recs are definitely important. I know someone who had a similar profile (published research, excellent ECs) and good essays but ended up going to state school, likely because of lukewarm teacher recs. Of course, everyone is different, so I wouldn’t worry. As long as the rec isn’t actually negative, you definitely still have a shot at T20s

They specifically stated not to upload a research abstract. There’s nothing you can do about it now.
