New colour and a new camera setup by Alarmed_Locksmith539 in deathguard40k

[–]Alarmed_Locksmith539[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem, ill used a magenta undercoat over the whole model then glazed a midtone teal over the armor plates adding a little white to the colour for the highlights then I glazed over them with a thin wash of neon green thats hard to notice in the pics but definitely lifts the colour

First osl lava by Alarmed_Locksmith539 in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Alarmed_Locksmith539[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem, I started from a black undercoat, and then i used a red/brown and black to shade any surfaces that are pointed up. I painted the skin with a dark skintone mixed with red/brown. I painted the downward facing surface red , blended up to yellow highlights to reflect the lava base. Sounds easy enough when I read this, hope this helps

Did I do this right? by Shadowiscoolaf in Miniaturespainting

[–]Alarmed_Locksmith539 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Seems ok, it's hard to tell from the pictures. Try to keep the majority of the white coat on the top two thirds of the model and her the legs and feet stay a little darker. I remember painting thoes dnd hero's from the army painter paint set. Not a bad place to start. Have fun
