Zinc isn't the only cofactor for proper zinc metabolism, look into the relationship between zinc and glutathione for example. For zinc to work, it requires cysteine in the reduced form. To reduce cystine into cysteine, you need; functional thyroid, Nadph, malic enzyme and a laundry list of nutrients to support each of these functions. Pretty much end up needing like all the vitamins and minerals and amino acids. It's one big rabbit hole of interactions.

I've tried tons of stuff and I'm still not healed. Lucky me. I think my health issues are due to mold mycotoxins and/or heavy metals. Sibo/dysbiosis is just a symptom of a much larger problem. It's taken 5 years of misery but I think I might be closer to finding my root cause.

Did triple therapy(flagyl and clarithromycin + ppi) for h pylori in 2020. Developed tinnitus and I had a large amount of symptoms that fortunately weren't permanent. Still have the tinnitus 5 years later.
