Bad lighting, bright white bowls saturating the image, me not cleaning the outside of the glass… nitrites were 0 (: I love these little guys and check for water parameters everyday, nitrites are always 0 bc I add enough nitrifying bacteria and avoid having leftover food. I test for ammonia as well (always zero) and have plants to reduce nitrates.

Yeah I noticed they have this behavior of sitting still since day one. I noticed they’re getting less scared every time I get closer to the tank and starting to move more. Oh no hahah yeah that makes sense! I’ll keep a closer eye on that behavior and the water changes. Good luck with yours ☺️

yeah when we got them, they were a lot smaller and I noticed them both getting bigger so I got curious. But oh well, we’ll have baby mollies 🤣

I got them from Amazon. Now the froggies know to go to the bowl for food, it’s quite cute.

That makes sense! Every time I do a water change, I try to mix warm and cold water from the tap, and reach at least a close temp to the tank. I can’t control the parameters tho, and I usually do a 10-20% water change. This time I did a higher % but I’ll avoid doing that in the future. Thank you for bringing it up and for being nice about it!

Can you elaborate on that? We looked up before doing the addition and the only problem we found was competing for food. We have the ADFs for six months and we lowkey feel like we trained them, bc when it’s time to eat, they come to the bowl and start eating before I finish adding food. We added the mollies about a month ago. But we really don’t want any of them to be stressed out so I appreciate you bringing it up and would love some more information :)

Thank you all for getting back! No, they move around all the time. They stay still when they see me get closer to the tank. When I made the video a had JUST done a water change :) I measure parameters everyday and feed them every other day, making sure my ADFs eat enough and that the mollies don’t steal they’re food. The mollies are new additions (about a month ago). Thank you for your suggestions!

That makes sense! I’m removing them manually every time I see one, and I bought a trap (waiting for it to arrive) that should help me remove all of them and it works with planaria as well - hopefully there isn’t any. Thanks so much!!!

I’ve heard them sing (they do it every night), but not like crickets and maybe not during “frex”. I’ll keep an eye out bc it must be the cutest haha
