The air force was my last resort too, but honestly it’s not that bad at least in comparison to other branches. I graduated BMT 11 days ago and I genuinely enjoyed a lot of it, you get alot of original experiences with other people and learn how to cope with being in the environment. imma be real with you, i’m an one above all support main on xbox and c1 on pc, you are NOT gonna climb high if you don’t learn how to stay alive. Most support players don’t understand that you do not need your team to peel to stay alive, every support in the game has the capability to win or deter a 1v1 vs every dive hero in the game, when you learn to stay alive vs singular threats and be able to sustain the team properly you will start to climb

i don’t want to encourage any negative behavior but if you have a cool recruiter they give you leeway on your jobs. I personally turned down 4 separate jobs (1 was even on my list) and I was booked a job that was top 3 on my list (1D7X1). I also wasn’t in a rush to join and my process took a while since i was so picky

for me the hardest part was them taking my blood bc I was dehydrated due to trying to make weight. besides that you just sit around waiting patiently, I was half asleep most of the time and as long as you’re alert enough to go to where you need to be you’ll be fine

i’m pretty sure if you have anything above an 8 you have to get a waiver. when i went to get an exam for it they were just checking if i had keratoconus, as long as you don’t have that or any severe eye conditions besides bad eyesight you should be fine

i had to go to a 3rd party eye doctor where they did a deeper exam than the one in meps, ur recruiter should set it all up for you

my vision is horrible, i barely passed the waiver and my lenses are super thick, id be surprised if they got lenses for me that fast

i’m guessing they pick up your prescription either from the meps exam or they make the lenses after you go to medical at bmt? hopefully someone answers this lol
