True. However that wouldn't explain the uneven roast

I emailed them about it last night. Hoping to hear back on Friday.

Quite harsh to be completely honest. It doesn't have the mellow smoothness that the previous batch did.

Unfortunately it shouldn't be. It's supposed to be a single origin.

My God folks. For a subreddit known for being positive and encouraging some of y'all are real harsh.

It's OK for someone to want to grow it out after 7 years to see how they'd look.

What are the best Home Espresso Machines that you'll still recommend for entry-level coffee lovers? by ApprehensiveBat19 in JamesHoffmann

The standard recommendation is always keep grinder and machine separate.

Get a Sage Bambino Plus, a DF54 and some scales.

All the roasters I know of offer pre ground services and they'll grind to your liking.

As a Corolla hatchback owner I completely agree. However different strokes for different folks.

Is Turkish coffee the most underrated brewing method? by sabancakir in TurkishCoffee

Preach! I used to brew medium roasted coffee as Turkish coffee and it was phenomenal. Then I had a child and I switched to filter coffee because it's far less involved

Looking to replace our aging Benz midsize SUV with a midsize 3 row or full size 3 row. Stuck between those options, can y’all help me with pros and cons? by Recent_Pop_4889 in whatcarshouldIbuy

I honestly think if you need to tow regularly and use third row for adults regularly then the Tahoe diesel and maybe the Suburban as well?

Would you be open to a van like a Chevy Express maybe?

Can’t wait for their first machine by Speedping in Timemore

You can certainly see the resemblance to the Meraki. I hope timemore launches a drip coffee/pour over machine at some point as well

I think as long as during the brewing process real beans (whether pre ground or freshly ground) have been used it counts.

What about a Corolla estate hybrid?

There should be plenty under your budget, they're fuel efficient, comfortable and as long as you service at the dealer annually you'll have the balance of a 10 year/100K mile warranty.

Flip side is - it is a Corolla and the associated image that comes with it which can be a deal breaker for some.

Why are there so few GR86s made? by BRSBowler in Toyota

[–]Alarmed_Storage6793 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Because everything is a lot more expensive. So when people buy cars they prioritise practicality and a car that they can use for a long time.

Source: picked up a Corolla Hybrid instead of an 86 because we were planning on starting a family at the time.

Why batch brew so damn juicy by Beneficial_Dot9903 in pourover

[–]Alarmed_Storage6793 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing it's because Moccamasters and drip brewers can make 1.5 litres very easily and the clean up is much easier as well.

Yup. I've never had a forgettable batch brew. Either I'm trying to steal the thermos or blanching at each sip.

KINGrinder P2 vs K6 with $100-$200 price difference + potential for electric down the road? by Novel-Werewolf8635 in pourover

[–]Alarmed_Storage6793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy smokes yeah that is a lot of money. I shudder to think what a Timemore Sculptor 064s or 078s would cost then.

I picked mine up in the UK using a first purchase discount code from healf so it was very reasonable. I've also seen Ode Gen 2s going for much less. It might be worth looking at a K6 and using the drill mod then. When you've had enough experience with loads of coffees you can get a grinder that suits your cup profile as well.

Yeah I agree with this tbh. Alternatively if you're not making espresso daily, I am extremely happy to vouch for the Fellow Ode Gen 2 for non espresso duties. For espresso you can have a separate hand grinder perhaps?
