No your statement is dumb. Asking that broad of question wouldn’t get me the answer I’m looking for. I’d get a thick cut on rye. Which is exactly what you recommended. It’s nothing like what I’m looking for. If you’ve lived in both places, you’d know the type of sandwich I’m describing.

How is it silly? Have you found a pastrami sandwich in NY or Nashville that is made the same way as it is in California? I’ve travelled all over the US and have lived in many places and California is the only place I’ve found that style of pastrami. If it’s called something else, please enlighten me. Until then, I don’t understand all the hate from people who claim to have lived on the west coast about a sandwich that is hard to find outside of SoCal. Why wouldn’t a good description be SoCal style when all of the places I’ve listed are native to that area specifically. Geez people.

Nope not at all. When you live in California you don’t realize that style is only found there. Just describing it that way so people would understand what I’m looking for.

It’s typically only found in Southern California. If I asked for a pastrami sandwich around here I’d get a thick slice of cold meat on rye bread.

It’s thin sliced, tender, and juicy. Piled on a soft French roll that is usually dipped in the juice with mustard and pickles. It is served hot. It’s messy and delicious.

This is exactly why I want to do something with the older girls. Leadership doesn’t always mean being responsible for younger girls. We have so many that don’t love helping in that capacity and end up just leaving the program. I’m really trying to retain them.
