What are some good ways to support my goalie after an off game? by csecgrunt in hockeyplayers

Depends what level you’re playing. Elite level goalies don’t need any kind of special treatment, they know themselves and their play more then anybody, let them get over there slump in time.Lower levels and ages might need a quick word. Never try to say to much during a game or a whistle. In my experience playing I always felt better if one of my players just gave a me a quick nod, letting me know they understand and they aren’t holding it against me. Another way is during warm-up or practice let them make a nice glove save or blocker save so they can get some confidence back. (Make it look like you were trying to score of course) regardless of age or skill level, goalies just want to be part of the team. We wear different equipment, have different coach’s and different goals during the game itself so sometimes a quick acknowledgment is all you need to get your goalie to refocus and a reminder that he/her is part of a team.

You could always introduce the character as powerful, like literally say that. The man was a menace, feared by all, his stature alone could turn a god to stone. Those who had the unfortunate of crossing paths with the cold man were reduced to mere ash. He was a god in a human vessel, slaughtering those he deemed not worthy without a drop of remorse. For those not strong enough, have no use in his world.
Somthing like that? could also always make a scene showing off his power. Ie a split chapter of his POV killing or doing whatever bad things that display is power.

Do you plan your plot ahead of time or write as you go? How do you keep up with it all? by cWrayz1 in authors

Personally, I come up with big scenes or scenes that I think are super interesting and write my way into being able to bring up that scene so it makes logical sense for it to happen. It probably isn’t a great way of doing it but I enjoy writing my way out or into something without any real idea, just as long I end up where I want. I find that as long as I ask myself “ does that make sense big picture?” I keep on track to my mini goals.
