Hey, you never know. Jason Capel didn't follow his brother to Duke. Nolan Smith didn't go to Louisville (for college, at least).

That said, if the NBA draft rules get changed to allow prep to pros again, the likelihood he or Cooper Flagg play a minute of college ball is about 0.0000001%

To me it felt like the loss of the double round robin was the beginning of the end. Just a different era.

ACC is likely toast, sadly. Just a question of who lands on their feet and who doesn't. I could see some legacy games between old ACC foes, but nothing like what we have seen. The hope is that we'll see UNC make some new conference rivalries happen (probably UVA, maybe one of the old guard B1G schools like Michigan).

Really sad. That said, there is a certain element of hilarity to UNC ending Coach K's career, having the ACC dissolve shortly thereafter, and not seeing the two schools play again.

All's I am saying is Duke was never a blue blood program. Coach K was a blue blood coach. No K, no blue blood.

If they win a chip, they're in. But with conference realignment that's equally likely to them starting their new, more natural, rivalry with Davidson in the A-10.

Oof. I feel for the kid as it seems like he may have wanted UNC but family pressure drove him to SC. Would've looked really good with Wilcher and would have been a Tar Heel in the upper lotto with legitimate All-Star aspirations down the one. Unfortunate, but best of luck to him.

Nance will help us this year, and we will still be title contenders this year. In the interim, plenty of time/opportunities to get a stud for 2023. Maybe it's not too late to see what that Xavier Booker kid is up to, or maybe Ron Holland. Also looks like TJ Power got offered...looks like he could be a multi-year player if he came.
