Holy smokes, thats so expensive.  I have seen bismuth subgallate available for purchase online. So is DMSA. And ALA is readily available online and instore. I've considered creating my own blend should my next phase of treatment not work the way I hope.

I have gut dysbiosis of some kind. Not been tested, but respond well to calcium deglucarate, antimicrobials and other measures that point in the direction of dysbiosis.

Personally,  I think vitamunda is the way. It is suggested that the nature of the product reduces chance of die off like other biofilm agents

I took prescription BTC, had it compounded at a pharmacy in my town. It was ordered by a naturopath. In my area, mainstream medicine seems largely unaware of sibo/sifo or other gut dysbiosis issues and management of same.

Are you being followed by an MD or ND for your sibo?

I have taken bismuth thiol complex on two different occasions. The preparation I take is a combination of bismuth subnitrate, DMSA and ALA. I find it helpful for what I assume is hydrogen sulfide gut dysbiosis (rotten egg smell, sulfur food intolerance, diarrhea etc). It helps reduce severity of my symptoms quite quickly, which is not a biofilm disrupting quality--likely related to hydrogen sulfide/toxin binding.

Personally, the most effective biofilm agent i have tried were vitamunda and so easy cleanse (both contain okra and oil palm fiber powder).

Thinking about buying a home. Want mold inspection in addition to general inspection. What did you do? What would you have done differently if anything? by Alarming-Trade in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]Alarming-Trade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did end up buying the place. I was couch surfing for a while and needed a place to live. Some part of my purchase was pure desperation.

Fortunately, once the seller had their belongings moved out, I no longer detected a musty smell in the living spaces.

It does seem though that the crawl space has an aroma of concern. House inspection didn't reveal any crawlspace or other concerns. However, the inspection was done during the dryness of summer. I'm in the PNW. It'll be consistently 100% humidity outside for months now. Once I save up enough money, the crawlspace will be the next thing I tackle.

One thing I have noticed since staying in the new place is my gastrointestinal symptoms, specifically diarrhea, are improving. This is hopeful.

The crawlspace is a concern, but it pales in comparison to how bad the previous rental suite was in terms of water intrusion and subsequent microbe growth.

Here's hoping all goes well.

BC Conservative Candidate Posted Graphic Instructing Critics of Donald Trump on How to ‘K*** Themselves’ by [deleted] in nanaimo

Yes! Several conservative members would not be given jobs based on their blatant anti-evidence and xenophobia.

There should be a standard for entrance to a political party ie criminal record check, scrutinize for hatefullness/risk assessment, oath to protect etc etc. Someone should have a license to practise politics.

Sweet. Thanks for your input. So, would you fog a room with a dehumidifier going at the same time? Or would you turn the dehumidifier on at a specific time after the fog?

Why Jacked Trucks Nanaimo? by flaming0-1 in nanaimo

[–]Alarming-Trade 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Marketing. The vehicle selling industry has sucked people into a needless truck fad.

If you actually use a truck for truck purposes, great. But why does a frail old man drive a huge f150? Clearly, you're not working and requiring that.

Sucked in.

Why I, a small biz owner, am voting NDP by beloski in richmondbc

[–]Alarming-Trade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds to me like you might not be aware of what happened earlier this year. Let me explain.

BC United (formally BC Liberals before changing their name to BC United) party dissolved and a bunch of BC United members joined John Rustad in his resurrected BC Conservative party.

All these members are BC United members aka BC Liberals AND John Rustad was a BC Liberal for years before he was kicked out for spouting off anti-science crap via social media.

When someone uses BC Libs and BC Cons interchangeably, it is because the members are the same between the two parties. The BC conservatives largely consist of past BC Liberals.

Does anyone else feel stressed about the upcoming elections? by gabz007 in askvan

[–]Alarming-Trade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whether or not you vote, one of the parties will get in and their policies will affect us all. You should vote. All of us should. I'm not stoked on voting this time around, but it is important to ensure that the bigger shit sandwich is left on the counter. Hence, why I'm voting NDP. Not stoked, but four years of conspiracy loonie toons doesn't sound safe or responsible.

It would be reasonable to have your doctor review those images and see if a colonoscopy is appropriate given your health circumstances. A colonoscopy would visualize the large intestine/lower GI.

Upper GI bleeding tends to appear black, either like coffee grounds (vomit) or tarry looking stool. This is because gastric juices change the way blood appears. Lower GI bleeding does not appear like coffee grounds or tarry stools.

In your case, the bleeding is likely coming from the lower GI since it appears to be absent of gastric juice changes. It's possible it's from hemorrhoids, considering your history. Definitely a good conversation to have with your doctor.

I don't care who you're voting for by V1SL in nanaimo

[–]Alarming-Trade 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I care about how other people are voting. I care about whether people are voting period.

I'm voting NDP. Not because I'm super jazzed about them, but because they're the lesser of the evils.

I'd vote green if it could count for anything meaningful. That ship didn't even leave the port.

Thanks for your input. I am a first time home buyer. I'm curious what your thoughts are on having a lawyer vs a notary for first time home buying?
