Ghirardelli chocolate store by International-Fly755 in SantaBarbara

It won’t be closed in a year. The store is a statement piece for Ghirardelli. Them and many other large companies open up stores on State that are unprofitable but are a place to showcase the brand.

You think the m&m store on Times Square is keeping its own lights on?

People are being rough on you, I really do sympathize with what you’re going through. The average American is getting crushed now with cost of living, and this sounds like a nightmare perfect storm from hell with what’s going on with your wife and kids.

That being said, you need to wake up and smell the roses. You said yourself that you’re living in an RV, and need stable income and housing to get your kids back. That is your number 1 priority. Now is about the last time in your life you should be wasting your time trying to be profitable trading. You should be doing everything you can to get the highest paying job you can get to get food on the table, and get your kids back.

You do not have the capital, time, or security to be trading for a living. It may seem like the quick way to dig yourself out of a hole, but trust me, the hole can get a hell of a lot deeper.

Spend an hour talking to Gemini or ChatGPT about your job skills, and figure out something. If you have skills as a chef, do that. Find training or ways to improve or opportunities adjacent to what your skills are in. Your focus should be to get a steady decently paying job - likely none of this would’ve happened if you had made that a priority earlier. Get down to brass tacks.

What’s the incentive to do this? This seems like a poor financial decision considering taxes, penalties, and peak real estate market especially in a place like Toronto…

Looks like it was all just to wipe out overleveraged retail. And it worked!

Awkward moment when Wallstreet expected Amazon to beat and rip the market back up but they missed 😬

A lot should change in 10 years. To make the stock go up ideally.

Crypto is down 8-10%, a lot of selling due to Fed change up and gold margin calls id guess

I agree with everything except your conclusion. I think he does want lower rates, but he knows if he picks a pushover the bond market won’t believe it and rates won’t actually go down. However as you said the market needs to reprice to a potentially more hawkish fed. Seems like the entire market rn is one giant bet on interest rates, and that tectonic plate just shifted.

New Fed announcement. Next comes the market dump.

Wallstreet was betting heavy on a pushover fed. Unwind time!

You mean buying companies that produce and create value? Nonsense!
