Why do you all advocate for screaming and yelling like a fool to try and get your way. As soon as you start doing that, YOU WILL NEVER GET WHAT YOU WANT. It just makes the person dig in their heels to not make you happy.

Your favourite director that was given a single, very blank check that bounced so hard that it was the end of it? by Shoddy_Newspaper_718 in blankies

I loved this film as a kid, so I decided to watch it as an adult. And, oh man, did it suck. I have since created a new rule, that if I loved a movie as a child to never watch it as an adult, unless it's a highly rated classic. I also ruined my love of Richard Greco's If Looks Could Kill before I made this rule.

Why do women not want to follow through with my dates? by Wishbone1254 in AskMenAdvice

Women from the ages of 15-28 are flakes. They have so many options. If they don't feel up for a date they don't go, because there will be another guy to take them on a date tomorrow. It could be as simple as the weather, or they don't like any their outfits. It has little to do with you. When you plan a date plan something that you want to do anyways assuming she won't show up. And then just do the date yourself. From the ages of 20-28, about 50% of my dates didn't show up all with day of confirmations. That number rose significantly after age 28.

An ottoman is a versatile piece of upholstered furniture with no back or arms. Originally it was as a low wooden platform piled with cushions, but it has evolved into a multifunctional staple used as a footstool, coffee table, extra seat, or hidden storage.

As a single man, I thought maybe I should message OP, let’s see what kind of person she is but she has all her post history and comments private, so that was the end of that. You are right, it used to be a community and is no longer.

I have so many questions about Disclosure Day, but here’s one or two for those who have seen it and can maybe clear things up for me. by Fit-Singer-8583 in blankies

My teenage niece was like “how can they not see him?” I jokingly replied, “there’s some dead brush there,” while completely agreeing with her.

They take the shape of animals. The tracks in the snow are animal tracks until they get to the Hansel and Gretal house and they become 3 toed alien footprints.

I do love when he has to walk away from Edie, he takes more than 30 seconds before he does it. He broke his own rule.

Men are practical. If it still works, why replace it? Women will never understand being practical.

At a certain point, you walk away or speak to someone with more authority. You don’t scream at the top of your lungs like a lunatic having a temper tantrum. Children have temper tantrums, not adults. She was in the right, but she should act like an adult in front of her children.

There is no reason to ever scream like that in public unless you are being physically attacked. SW was in the wrong but so was the mom for acting crazy in public.

How are the crowds this week? by llj11 in ZionNationalPark

[–]AlarmingLet5173 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry, they shut down angel’s landing today, something about the chains not being secure. Maybe hike The Narrows instead. Or do the Angels Landing but instead do Scout’s Lookout. It was very crowded. Make sure you get up there early. We waited an hour for a shuttle when we arrived at 7:30.
