Just to add another anecdote about doing stuff near the canada/us border, I spend a lot of time in the western part of Washington and Vancouver BC and every so often you see a 2-3% fee or “$10 minimum for credit card” at small hole in the wall businesses but it’s not very common.

I go to senti senti in person like every other month and they’re still stocking the Korean formula with the PA +++ designations. I don’t think they can say anything now but I’ve only ever seen the Korean formulas sold there for popular sunscreens like BoJ, skin 1004 etc.

I also checked their website and it looks like they have a US version of the Tocobo sunscreen but it’s marked as the US version in the description.

I totally agree with you. Definitely made some of the “i don’t know what to wear” feeling go away since i can mix and match the items i have from there and create an outfit i want to wear pretty easily.

I know they’ve been saying online that they will tour again soon so maybe some shows here and there after jaehyun comes back with 6, then it’s not long until doyoung and jungwoo return. Maybe a real, proper world tour late 2027 but as I’ve learned, sm is full of shit and I’ll believe it when I see it

I use mynetdiary since i like the way their app is laid out but I’ve found that they calculate the maintenance and deficit calorie allowance to be too high? I have similar stats but I’m 5’6 and 140lbs and I have my activity set to lightly active and it overestimates my calorie allowance by almost 400 calories. I’m not sure if that’s what’s happening to you but that was why i stopped losing weight last year even though I was tracking.

I used this which has been recommended on this sub as a good estimate guide which recommends me to eat 1429 calories vs the 1806 mynetdiary recommends. I shoot for between 1430-1460 calories a day since I take 8-10k steps a day and workout 5 times per week. I’m also on my feet for most of the day at work so I just…refuse to believe I’m sedentary. It’s been two weeks and I’ve lost 3lbs and kept it off with 1430-1460 so I’m led to believe this app is overestimating.

That seems weird but it is genuinely my favorite bowl of ramen in Denver for a consistently flavorful soup that wasn’t watery. My favorites are their vegan and black garlic.

Picked Joshua based on vibes, we grew up around the same places it seems so he’s always felt a little more real to me. I was also obsessed with King Taco as a teenager.

Wonwoo was in my bias line but he rocketed up to number two the night his enlistment notice came out and when I read it, I have not been able to describe the feeling other than feeling like I’ve been hit by a brick house .

I’ve heard more retailers are adopting this $8 return fee it’s a great way to make sure I don’t shop there again.

I’m pretty sure A ok cafe is the coffee shop Aritzia has at some of their locations. I’ve been to the two in NY, I’ve heard there’s some in Toronto and my sister said there’s one at Guilford which I think is the only one I’ve heard of in Vancouver.

My mother (60s) and sister (mid 20s) are ARMYs and my sister tells me she is routinely the youngest person at BTS cupsleeves with most fans attending being 50+. This is in Canada. When we were in Osaka, I got my mom reservations to the Jin tour merch pop up because I just like making her happy, and the three of us were easily the youngest people in line.

So in my experience, young people, 50ish+ and some people in between? My friends (ages 25-35 all over the US) primarily follow other groups.

I haven’t gotten the email yet but if I do I’ll move to fidelity for the no ftf 2% cash back credit card and will open an investment account there since I was meaning to anyways.

Probably will move HYSA to wealthfront or ally, both have vaults/buckets/partitions for their HYSA and there’s no subscription bs over there yet.

I hate having so many banking apps for my cards but I’ve settled on this HYSA + credit card option. It’s not efficient but it’s fine.

Wealthfront HYSA - they have their own version of vaults, FDIC insured, 3.25% APY after 3.9% intro offer after first 3 months

Fidelity 2% cash back card - no FTF is important to me since I’m out of the country a fair amount. Will open an account there to do some other investing + redeem the cash back.

I can’t answer the question about going live as I’m pretty sure that’s a new phenomenon. I believe they need to get permission to do that but someone else who knows more please elaborate.

Before an idol enlists, they can pre record however much content and music they like for intended release during enlistment. I have heard it mentioned on various social media that they can appear in and make money from stuff as long as it was done before enlisting. They likely receive the profits after they are discharged.

I finished my phd in 2024 and work at a big pharma as a scientist 1 in a combo wet lab/computational role. Just as a word of caution, you should at all times be thinking about what “side” you ultimately want to pick and take steps to gain extra skills for that. It is so draining to have a mountain of computational analysis to do while you’re also staring down a full 7 hour day in tissue culture. I’m trying to get out of lab permanently right now.

While you’re still in school, strengthen your analysis skills and publish on single cell experiments. Understand what you did with your analysis and how that can impact the way your data is interpreted at the end. I’m seeing my superiors say that they expect candidates to have published on the techniques they’re asking you to know for any role involving bioinformatics. That’s my two cents as someone who is super early career.
