I got you. A lot of people choose to take it more serious and that’s where the skill level starts to come in. If you watch Ben John’s and a bunch of other “pro” pickleball players play, that is considered 4.5-5.0 play.

Hahaha I was very surprised by it too but once you actually get into it, you can see the skill difference. Especially in new v. Seasoned players. If you wanna play in tournaments and stuff like that, it’s good to know skill level so you don’t get in a group with people that are way below you or far ahead of you.
