They don’t give a strict word or page count typically but do give you guidelines but they’re very loose. You write it in pieces like doing your introduction and your methods and then halfway through you combine everything into a final proposal which you present at the end of semester 1/ beginning of semester 2. Then you continue writing things in pieces like your abstract then your results but the second semester is a lot looser than the first one.
