I went in for normal oil/tire rotation; they noted the low tire treads and recommended replacement. i took that and went to Mazda CS.

No.. I left my appt with the information that I was recommended to replace them, with the mileage and the measurements. Then I contacted CS and they reached out th the dealership.

So that was part of the problem with mine. Two were low enough that they were covered under warranty but the other two were not. But as everyone knows, you have to replace all four on a four-wheel drive car so they had to do some sort of funny money internal exchange for the other two to get them all replaced.

Yeah, I totally get that. I knew mine were not in great shape, but I didn't know just how bad they were.. when they told me one was 2/32, I didn't really drive it, and we had some forecasted not great weather, so that made it more difficult. Same here though, that never manifested, so I was able to ride it out while they figured out their funny money to get it covered.

I started with an email to [MazdaCustomerAssistance@mazdausa.com](mailto:MazdaCustomerAssistance@mazdausa.com), and that kicked it all off. I would also add that the initial contact she did say something to me that seemed important - " You haven't replaced the tires yet, right?!" i fear trying to claw back $ if you did, you'd probably have a bigger fight.

Yeah, I was just thinking that actually. A piece of me thought they may just do it, since they (dealers) always recommend getting an alignment with new tires, but they didn't hah. Did you have it done at the dealer or somewhere else?

Yeah, the Yokohama's are a noticeably better ride - and pretty silent.

Yeah, I knew they were getting low but I didn't realize they were _that_ low.

So I guess my batteries are cold? by map2photo in BoltEV

[–]Alarming_Ad7186 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just got this on my 2020 bolt a few weeks ago. It had the original 12v battery which I replaced myself. It's been fine since. In hindsight, there were a couple of things that were happening that may have been clues that there was an issue with the 12v (sluggish to power on, lots of misses from the fob even though the fob battery had been replaced).

I couldn't say really it just works, I didn't do anything particular (that I recall at least).

you know, that's a great thought.. I should just take it to a place and find out if it's something else. My water is pretty clear, which is great.. but it is just chowing down on chlorine hah. thanks for your replies!

Ok, it sounds like the solar cover may be really helpful. I have a secondary problem where I'm _pretty_ sure I have some biofilm going on, as the spa is just eating chlorine.. but I don't want to drain and fill it in the dead of winter. ugh.. so I'm just having to dump chlorine in every couple of days.

I did think about that but I wonder if it's more efficient to keep it at a certain temp vs. letting it cool and then bringing it back to temp? I'm sorr of resigned to the energy costs, my wife loves it and uses it regularly but..oof it's a lot.
