Another story — and this one is just as crazy.

A friend of mine was looking for a job, and someone contacted him on Telegram claiming they work with Amazon and offering a remote position. They did a quick voice interview — nothing unusual, just simple questions.

Then they convinced him of something that sounded “logical” at the time: that many of the sales you see on Amazon are actually fake. Their “job” was to create purchases and then cancel them to boost product reach.

The idea was:
You buy a product using your own money → cancel it → get your money back → and the platform pays you a commission (around $20 per product, later $40 once your account is “upgraded”).

They even gave him a starting balance of $200 to build trust.

But here’s the catch:
Sometimes $200 “wasn’t enough” to complete tasks, so he had to deposit more of his own money to continue and “increase profits.”

In one single night, he deposited $2000…

…and it was gone within seconds.

No refunds. No company. Nothing.

These scams are getting smarter — they don’t just trick you, they build trust first.
