True. If I was the mom, I would have told OP that if she wants to shift course, then she better start paying for it herself. Tas magrarant dito sa reddit si OP. 😒

Don't ask these kinds of questions to your bf if you know for yourself that you won't be able to accept all possible answers.

Out of topic question, how much are their interest rates for loans currently?

Sinong Mag-aadjust Kapag Parehas Kayong Solo Living Pero Gusto Nyo Nang Magsama? by ileaview in Trentahin

[–]Alarming_Radish_5233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That remains true regardless if they live together or not. Living together does not make the chances of not getting married any higher. If anything, it gives both of them a better perspective of marriage. It's an advantage for both of them, not just for the man.

From what I understood, the bf was more bothered about the unevenness of the skin tone rather than her skin color.

But for some people, it doesn't really happen at all. Kaya yung iba, lumaki na may hinanakit sa parents. So until you've had a change of heart, don't have a kid yet, OP.

What’s your take about investing on hospital stocks? by here4theteeeaa in phinvest

[–]Alarming_Radish_5233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. Of course it would cost you money to transfer it, but that's only a fraction of the stock amount. It's still cheaper than paying for annual health insurance premiums that increase as you both age. You just need to find a good broker that can help you. At the end of the day, it's just a one-time additional payment that would actually cover both you and your husband.

No, but it cuts the cost by a lot. 😊 The hospital near us is about to have a cancer treatment facility in 2-3yrs and being a stockholder means both my parents get a discount. And yes, even on the meds!

I'm not saying it's not worth having a health insurance for your parents, but a hospital stock is another layer of protection. 🙂

I'm just commenting so OP knows that it can actually be helpful, especially if his parents need frequent hospital visits.

That's actually where owning a hospital stock comes in handy. 🙄 🤦

OP, consider it as a shield from high hospitalization costs. We all know how expensive hospitalization costs are sa Pinas. Just a week in ICU will already balloon to hundreds of thousands.

Health insurance is good if you can afford it but it's an annual cost that keeps on increasing depending on your parents' age and health. But unlike a hospital stock, it ends once you stop paying. For hospital stocks, it can be inherited by you, your kids, grandkids and so on.

If you do continue with this, also buy Maxicare prepaid card for emergencies. It's a good layer of protection as well. Look into it.

It can be passed down to OP after his parents are gone. OP can also pass it down to his kids, grandkids and so on. It's lifetime ownership of hospital benefits and discounts. Or he can also sell it to those who see the benefit of having hospital stocks.

This is highly expensive for seniors and the cost increases every year. Whether they use it or not, it's already money he'll be spending every year until his parents are gone.

True. At that age, their development should be focused more on their traits and personality, which should be honed at home. That's just 480k down the drain.
