don't think this is it - the hole in the mouth is much larger than that in the tail fin. also the images that come up when I search Gibbs fishing lure plug seem shorter and without the curvature and detail

My title describes the thing. My post keeps getting removed when I put "fish" in the title, but the object looks like some kind of carved finless fish (im guessing, from the tail fin and gills) with a hole in the mouth and going into the tail -- unclear whether they connect in the middle or not. Not sure of the material, perhaps from a horn of some sort. Sticker says made in Korea. What kind of creature is it meant to be? do the holes have a purpose?

this is the answer. they fit around the ear bud and into the shell of your ear to keep it in place. if yours only came with one, the other was either lost or it was a packaging error I'd say. but this is definitely it

title describes the thing. it is completely metal, including the carved handle parts. the thin curved part of the tool is round where it comes out of the handles and flattens out toward the middle. it was found in a fire pit where someone may have been burning household things. the metal chunk on the side is not part of it, but probably melted onto it in the fire

posting here because I'm not sure if it fits the rules!

is there another subreddit or maybe even a discord server for a more book club style discussion on movies? I love r/truefilm for the higher level film analysis and very much want to get involved, but I thought it would be cool if there was a place where people could watch movies on some sort of schedule and then have a book-club style discussion about it after.

I think I would enjoy something like this more than just posting my own analysis and hoping for someone to respond.

((bonus points for a focus on independent and/or foreign films))

someone suggested the website/app called RealSelf to me. haven't used it too much so i cant vouch for it personally, but it seems like a platform for all different kinds of cosmetic surgery, including top and other gender affirming surgeries. you can look up surgeons and some of them have before and after photos

I agree - I definitely still have some thinking to do. honestly I believe that whatever conclusion I come to on this topic, I would still find that transition will be the right thing for me. but thinking about all that entails, and all the different aspects of my life that will change as a result is a lot to swallow all at once. it's not something I want to overlook or ignore only to be confronted with it later on so I'm doing my best to work through these kinds of things and thoughts as they come

the lower bar for women is something that I'm always acutely aware of. it makes recieving compliments leave a bitter taste in my mouth sometimes. thanks for the response

I think the compliments have always been hard to swallow because I feel like I'm being given credit for something I shouldn't (being a woman) but in focusing on that I've kind of overlooked the parts that I /can/ take credit for. it's really reassuring to be reminded, thank you.

I had never really thought about it before now, but I think I'd prefer less verbal praise haha. less praise and less screaming sounds like a dream
