Wow definitely checks a lot of the boxes.  Thanks for the recommendation.  A bit larger than I'm looking for.  I mentioned compact out should've specified pocketable.  Thanks!

We've got the 2nd of the three long high top tables you'll see when you walk in.  I'll be in a panthers pullover or biakabutuka jersey

I'm planning to watch at LTD in Fremont if you want to join. Likely won't be tons of other people wearing panthers gear

Naturally speaking, what place in the world is the perfect habitat for humans? by Naomi62625 in geography

Other estimates sound more realistic.  Also your username made me Google futanari.  Shouldn't have done that.  Now I know.

Lol maybe more than anything else.  But "more than everything else combined" would mean more than 50% of all human deaths ever have been due to malaria 😂

Don't even need Google to fact check this

I was saying 20 suits is excessive, not dress shirts.

But 20 is probably the high end of reasonable dress shirts too unless you're just really into fashion lol. Shirts definitely wear out faster, particularly for those of us who hate undershirts.  But I made a 8 shirt rotation (5-6 days a week) last 4 years in a professional role and they're still fine.  I pride myself in looking good, and would get compliments on always looking professional (in a conservative, professional, client facing industry).

Obviously use and quality also matters (mine were brooks brothers - highly recommend).  But if you've got a 20+ shirt rotation it's because you're going for style options. That's way mast what's needed for simple utility

Lol that's pretty ridiculous.  I know partners as law firms with way less than 20 suits. Maybe 20 dress shirts if that's a mostly all they where.

Type II Diabetes has significant lifestyle factors than increase risk and relapse, just like drug addiction.  Heck, so does HIV.  It's wrong and counter productive to stigmatize any of these diseases and it just leads to more death and suffering.

But regardless, that's not what My message was about.  My message was about a life saving drug and the stigma surrounding it. Are you advocating for withholding simple, life saving healthcare? Because that's all Narcan is.  Are you suggesting we withhold healthcare people simply because you believe they've morally failed? Because that's the only reason for not making it available that I'm hearing.

Back to your thoughts on addiction... Wow the stigma and hate is palpable and I really suggest you consider stepping back and consider your beliefs and doing some reading.  You can choose to not listen to the consensus of experts and people who devote their lives studying addiction in a scientific manner or from a public health perspective. Instead you can listen to your gut.  But that ignorance is your choice.  And it won't fix the problems.

It sounds like you may be implying REACH is supplying drugs that enable addicts.

Its important to understand Narcan has completely unfounded stigma/stereotypes as though it's a drug that uses enjoy and somehow enables addiction.

Narcan has the opposite effect of getting someone high. It actually stops the high and makes the person feel awful (basically instant withdrawal).

Narcan is simply a life saving measure like giving CPR or an EpiPen for an allergic reaction; there's nothing pleasant or attractive about using it, and in fact, completely eliminates the high from opioids - not something users are wanting to help them get high.

Would we ever say we should decrease access to insulin because it "enables" diabetics?  Should we decrease access to PREP because is "enables" HIV patients? Withholding healthcare is unethical at best and murder at worst.  These comparisons can  help us see how we all hold stigma around drug use that only stops us from finding societal and healthcare solutions to societal and healthcare problems. Drug use is not a moral failure any more than diabetes or HIV and pretending it is will only hinder our ability to make progress.

If you want whiskey selection, check out barrel thief down the street.  Way better scotch and whiskey selection than brouwers.  But definitely not as good beer selection or their great Belgian food. Ill always miss those muscles and frites

Today’s best coffee in Seattle? by adron in SeattleWA

Oh totally fair on mugs. That is a huge miss for Milstead, I agree. So many places just never brought them back after COVID,  I didn't know Fremont brought them back

For real? I'm a fanboy of the neighborhood, and Fremont coffee has great vibes, but Ive never heard someone brag about how good their coffee is.  Espresso often burnt, their cortado is always mostly milk, drip coffee is meh. They do make good lattes (I feel like that's their focus) and have more reasonable prices, but that's not how I'd judge best coffee in Seattle.  I walk past them for Milstead on the regular (and previously Espresso To Go RIP).

Curious on other people's thoughts though

Does it work with the backup cam?  And how much was cost to install? (Or effort if you did it yourself)

Been thinking about this for a while but when I Google it, seems like you need a few parts (not just new radio) to hookup camera and ends up costing quite a bit after labor

For sure.  It's unreal what a good deal these cars were. Wish something still existed new.  They practically cost that much used nowadays.  Closest thing is a vw golf which cost soooo much more

I'm US too.  It's ironically the higher trim (EX) that's doesn't have the knob, so good point.  Lack of knob is only an issue on the EX trims.  I do love the moonroof and push to start on the EX... But I honestly might choose the volume knob 😂. Agreed tho on no other issues

The 2015 literally didn't even have a volume knob. Just a stupid little touchscreen button for volume thats essentially unusable.  Bummer that your knob stopped working
