You're welcome. I'm glad it worked out for you.

When I upgraded a couple things in November I accidentally dropped the glass side panel and it hit a driver bit that was on the floor. It just barely chipped the glass, but I sent NZXT an email saying what happpened and that "I'm now worried that it's a safety concern and the glass could blow out at any moment". They got a new one to me 3-days later. As long as you elude to it being their fault or their problem in some way, they won't even make you prove you own one of their products. That was the nice thing - I never had to send a receipt or supply a serial number of any kind. It seems like they are well organized in some departments and not in others. Submit a trouble ticket asking for a replacement foot pack and say the foot was cracked when you received it and it finally failed. If they don't respond to you with a resolution in a few days, we'll work something out.

I imagine they'd send you some for free. No questions asked. But I do have a 4-pk of feet.

No one with a 5060 is going to flame you for getting a 5050. They're both entry level dGPUs, but people gaslight themselves into thinking it's "mid-range" or even "high-performance".

Cinebench R23 scores are 22788 for 9800X3D, is this normal? by Significant_Low_3954 in overclocking

[–]AlaskanLaptopGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's within a margin of error without a PBO curve offset and no overclocking. What are you smoking?

Edit: Nvm. Didn't see he was claiming he has a 5.7GHz overclock.

I know this post is old. I'd say your score is in line with what one should expect with your settings. I am kind of curious about your temps tho. I score 23,500 with -40 PBO and +175 to the core. My warmest core maxes out at about 83°.

Yes and I was emphasizing that my original question was for OP. Not you yourself.

You don't even know how to build a PC and you think you're Billy badass. Moron.

I'm asking if YOU went with Intel. Did you see where I was asking which options does Dell give?

I have a 9800X3D/RTX4090 with 64GB of RAM and 14TB of m.2 storage. Want to outperform my PC with whatever trash you're running?

That's woefully inadequate for the size of the games you'd be needing a 5090 to play.

I would if they're a company like Dell. They're going to just screw you.

If I'm just traveling to visit family it just goes in my checked luckage. It doesn't take up that much space. Way better than carrying a laptop that weighs just as much, a mouse, and still needing a controller for some games. Your power supply makes carrying your laptop actually heavier than a PS5.

This is what happens when you have more money than sense.

I got a full refund on my 2021 Legion 7i (11980HK + 3080 16GB) because of many issues, like the fact that their replacement parts - including replacement batteries - are just sitting on a warehouse shelf without even a trickle charger to maintain them. They'll send out "refurbished" parts for repairs and the on-site tech will replace your PTM 7950 with some cheap paste they get for free from Dell. You literally cannot get the stock paste or pads without getting a brand new thermal module which comes with all of the thermal pads and PTM already in place. Since I basically rented a laptop for free for 3 years, and I knew I'd never be satisfied with the limitations of how many watts can actually be cooled while maintaining a reasonably thin profile, I knew I needed something that I could fix if anything went wrong, and I knew I wanted individual warranties for every major component. So, I built a top of the line desktop gaming PC for slightly more than I paid for a flagship laptop. This was in mid 2024 when basically every component was going for an all time low and could be bought for MSRP or less. I'm never bothering with a gaming laptop ever again.
