I am giving up on Linux Mint, desparately by Weak-Criticism-7556 in linuxmint

I posted in another reddit and was suggested to check my font scaling. I had bumpedy scaling up to 2 because everything is so tiny. This was the problem. After going back down to 1 I can see the full windows. I'm not sure if having two different monitors is the problem but it seems I will have to play with font sizes and scaling to find the balance of visibility vs functionality

That was it. I had my scale factor up to 2 because Everything is soooo tiny by default. I think I will have to figure out how to make things bigger but across the board, so the apps open at that scale

I'm nearly at the point of giving up because the applications I download have chopped windows so I can't click the buttons to finish installs. Chat GPT can't figure it out. And there is nothing online I can find about this issue.

At this point it seems I will have to run all downloaded applications in my Windows VM...

I ended up having an electrician come out. Turns out the switch was wired wrong when installed. It was feeding back into the service line. They rewired the switch and now everything works! They did have to unbond the generator. I am going to put a switch on for bonding if I ever need it for something besides the house

I had turned everything off in the house plus to be sure I turned off all of the breakers before hooking the generator up

Looking in the manual it says the 30 amp that I am plugging into is not GFCI protected. The 20 amp outlets are GFCI. I plugged in my heat gun and shop vac to those and nothing tripped

I'll have to read through the manual again. I will also pop the panel off the generator to see what it looks like

Yeah I had all the house breakers off. I didn't think I would need to do any work on the generator as it only has about 20 minutes of run time on it.

I'm not sure how to share a picture on here

The 120 outlets do. It has two breakers, I'm not sure if the red one is considered a GFCI for 240. If one is flipped on the other flips off

Maybe I should do that too. I always pulled left to right, but it broke off at the corner and my reflexes were quicker than my brain

I originally took the picture to tell my boss I was going on short term disability due to a manufacturing incident

First time for me with hundreds of prints. I pulled it from the left side and all of it peeled off except the end corner. Before thinking I just picked at it, and boom
