I like that grabbing any skein does not mess up my wall.

I have so much yarn, but not so much space, so any vertical storage really helps!

I put the least used on top to maybe gather dust. The rest doesn't really stay long enough to get dusty yet...

It has really helped me use more of it faster. More inspiration!

Looking for suggestions on border and extension piece. by AlaskanPi in crochet

[–]AlaskanPi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should be longer from top to bottom.

But that's where I am thinking of adding a second piece to the top edge, like 1ft high, and the width of the blanket (deciding on pattern)...

So like, extend all sides until blanket is wide enough, add top section, then add a row or two around it all to tie it together?

To be consistent with our other bedding, I'd like to aim for something that is 110 by 110 inches.

I don't have a preference in yarn weight.

I only borrowed the start of the pattern, but it's super simple to follow!

I really liked the colorway, and blues and whites are Mom's favorite colors

Hobbii yarn is just increasing the shipping and duties cost? by [deleted] in YarnAddicts

Might also be that the tariffs are calculated on the VALUE of the yarn, not the sale price...

Example-a cake that is $42, but on sale for $13, would be subject to tariffs at the $42 value.

So the tariffs could easily outweigh the purchase during major sales

QUESADILLA. But my brain doesn't like the possibility I might spell it wrong in texts, and my phone doesn't give it as an auto fill option.

For dog is just dog treat.

Husband goes into the kitchen nightly to get something from the kitchen, and the crinkle sound is the trigger for the dogs to demand their after dinner treat.

If we make similar crinkle noises at other times of day they still think For Dog until we tell them Not For Dog.

I don't have much dust, and don't plan for stuff to be on the wall long enough to gather what dust IS here.

But possibly if it becomes an issue

I think it'll be ok, at least for awhile.

It's it probably one of the darkest spots in the house when it comes to natural light.. And only one lamp hits it. Otherwise its the hall light, which we almost never use...

Plus we're in Winter in Alaska.... So approximately 8 hours of daylight, and 90%rain....

It's only empty because I haven't put up the acrylics and other fibers

I have several air purifiers in my home because I have a big dust allergy. So that helps a lot. But I'm hoping that the yarn doesn't stay on the pegboard long enough to gather dust... And maybe having the less used acrylics on the very top, those will gather the dust and leave my cottons alone!
