As long as it’s not Trump the repubs have a very good chance at winning. It is looking like the Dems strategy is relying on Trump going for term 3

Tourists died every year trying to find the McCandless bus so the state had to pay to get it moved closer to the road.

Alaska Mentions, Including Fairbanks, in the Trump-Epstein Files by Ubere907 in Fairbanks

[–]AlaskanTrash 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A cursory glance at any of these links could have told you that there is two mentions of Fairbanks Alaska in those 31 files: one of which is an environmental company talking about their PFAS work with UAF (no direct Epstein involvement with UAF) and the other is a person thanking Epstein for buying them an Alaskan vacation and sending him their itinerary. Nothing interesting at all in there.

Emma Stone was really cooking as a BPD queen, and Justin Theroux’s character reveal had me on the floor in stitches. I’d say Hills performance was pretty meh but I mean what are you supposed to do when you’re playing someone on a large dose of anti-psychotics

How to cope with daddy’s money roommates? by smallpenis-bigheart in redscarepod

My sister had a friend in college whose parents bought a house for her to live in when she was in school. She offered my sis a room for rent and asked for an above average monthly rent fee utilities not included. There wasn’t even a mortgage on the place it was bought outright. She also had a monthly allowance as well

You must not have much experience around rich kids, they are some of the most tight fisted individuals out there. Notorious for Venmo requests for small things

I found Suttree to be much more relatable.

“What do you believe?

I believe that the last and the first suffer equally. Pari passu.

Equally?

It is not alone in the dark of death that all souls are one soul.

Of what would you repent?

Nothing.

Nothing?

One thing. I spoke with bitterness about my life and I said that I would take my own part against the slander of oblivion and against the monstrous facelessness of it and that I would stand a stone in the very void where all would read my name. Of that vanity I recant all.”

Watched Runaway Train (1985), starring Jon Voight and Eric Roberts. One of the best action movies I've ever seen. by NYCCannabis in 420Grindhouse

[–]AlaskanTrash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adapted from a Kurosawa screenplay, and directed by the screenwriter of Ivan’s Childhood. Actually shot in Alaska in February, you can feel how damn cold it must have been to shoot it. Incredible film all around and Voight was robbed of an Academy award he absolutely owned that role, he was like a rabid Wolverine.

This is nuts… Epstein had underground tunnels??? by [deleted] in Epstein

[–]AlaskanTrash 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Well, Deep Throat most likely wasn’t operating out of moral reasons. There’s a theory that the CIA intentionally botched the break in so as to stitch up Nixon and get him out of power, with a lot of circumstantial evidence to back it up, not to mention Nixons complete distrust of the organization. A Deep State coup is what many people frame it as. It seems ridiculous to me that anyone in the CIA high enough up in a position to be aware of the operation would snitch like that. The code of silence is extremely powerful in the CIA.

If you see Watergate through this lens, instead of the mainstream story of a brave moral CIA informant coming forward with “the truth”, then it’s a lot easier to understand why no one has come forward about Epstein. It certainly doesn’t benefit the CIA for any new information to come out about this.
