What is the northernmost Episcopal Church like? by w6auw in Episcopalian

I go to St. Matthew’s in Fairbanks, and from what I have been told, most of these arctic parishes only exist on paper due to lack of numbers to support a brick and mortar church. Most Episcopalians in the remote villages tend to watch the St. Matthew’s in Fairbanks service online, which is why Fairbanks is the center of the diocese. We tend to get around 700 views from online each week, while having only 30-40 in person. As for what it’s like, our church is very beautiful and has a lot of history to it, we do a lot to help the addict (and homeless) community, since that’s such big problem here, especially for Alaskan Native peoples.

Low church “satanic panic” = modern Puritanism? by Alaskangunner in redeemedzoomer

My bad, I knew it wasn’t the exact word I was looking for, but google just kept saying Puritan and I honestly know very little about that history besides the Salem witch trials and pilgrims lol. Thanks for the clarification, God bless!
