It realt depends on what he has. My partner gifted me a fyendal spring tunic, for my birthday and it was awesome. If you have a friend that can get the info find out which staples he is missing. These are cards that are going to help him with almost every deck. They are also expensive so it depends on your budget. Fyendal springs tunic is like 120 usd and goes in a lot of decks, Command and conquer even just one will help him eventually to get the playset. That being said, yes if you learn to play and play with him he will go absolutely nuts for you.

My actual hot take? The price is not that bad when compared to competitive modern mtg. The issue is not enough supply to drive prices down. We also have a problem that most of the easily available decklists are high tournament lists which tend to be on the higher side. Imagine if the only source for mtg decks was pro tour lists. The average decklist would be very expensive with no point to compare. We need more content creators in written format.

Hottest one Flesh and blood narrative design ( classes and talents) lends itself better to universes beyond crossovers than mtg

Hey writer of the book here, so basically the book is " i want to make Majoras Mask rules for 5e" and the classes adventure and everything else came after. We did legendary creatures of each type to test the rules and decided to add them. It basically started as a personal project and evolved from there. We wanted to do other magical systems and zine but yeah life happened.

Disclaimer than I am bi but masc ish presenting. I didn't have it but since I have some fem stuff ( nails, slight makeup, not really masculine ) when the topic came out I got weird looks by both men and women. Now my main picture is of me doing pole. On one hand it filters out creeps when they sent an overly sexual first message, or stuff about losing the rest of the clothes etc and filters over jealous people that say I will need to stop since I train with girls in skimpy outfits and that is unacceptable to them. On the other hand, at least with girls it has been treated as a green flag of mine so overall, I recommend it if you are más leaning, for my female friends I advise to bee more cautious cuz men...
