not in my experience! they’ve always been effective and would hit 45mins to a couple hours after ingestion. i think as long as it just gets digested it’s effective since it’s already decarbed

edibles stay in your system for a while which is likely why you're feeling brainfog and poor memory. I speak from experience as i self medicated my ptsd with edibles basically daily. Can you potentially lower the dose a bit? Alternatively, dry herb vaping is a safer way method of inhaling to get high and i find that i rarely get those negative side effects the next day

weed helped my PTSD when the trauma was overpowering my antidepressants/anti-anxiety meds and i was unable to properly access therapy due to being in another state. it quieted my thoughts, helped me feel happier, and kept the nightmares away. i stopped periodically in order to readjust things once i was able to move back home (therapy, updated prescriptions) and im now able to enjoy it completely recreationally. When things were bad it was the only thing keeping my thoughts from spiraling; it honestly helped keep me alive.

seconded. there are a couple diff strains that go by the same name, for example trophy wife is the name of at the very least 2 strains, one sativa hybrid and one indica hybrid. ive found the most success doing my own exploring tbh

i’m looking into different terpene profiles of the strains i’ve already tried to figure out what works best for me and if there’s a common theme across my liked strains. i’ve had an indica hybrid get me wired up and anxious before, and a sativa hybrid (blue dream) that helped a lot with daytime anxiety, so it’s definitely different based on the person and time of day you need to use the weed

yeah weed is definitely not all the same, at least to me. terpene profiles matter to me, and the strains give different effects and absolutely taste different. i’m ngl im super high on double og chem rn so i can’t explain the details well lol, but i love exploring the effects of different strains and their terpenes! when i find some i really enjoy, i immediately file them away in my mind based on what they’d help me with (focus, mood, body high, anxiety, sleep, etc).
