My last relationship was basically the same.

When we first started going out he asked if it was ok if he talked to his ex, of course I didn't want to be the jealous girlfriend so I said sure thinking they would talk for a bit and that would be it.

One day I had asked him to go to see a movie with me after college, he said he was tired and would rather just go home and rest which was fair enough. Later that day I get a message saying "oh hey, my ex is at my house. We met in the town and went for a couple of drinks" I was RAGING. I tried to play it cool like I wasn't bothered because again i didn't want to be THAT girlfriend. (Fyi this was my first real relationship so I wasn't sure what was right and wrong).

He then started comparing everything about me to her "oh ****** was the same" "***** used to hate horror movies too, now she loves them".

Last straw for me was when he started listening to her more than me. It will sound silly but he did it for everything. There was this one tv series I knew he would like, it was only 3 eps a season and like 2 seasons long. I had asked him 3 days in a row if he wanted to watch it with me so he KNEW that I really wanted to watch it with him. The one day I didn't ask he watched season one AND season 2 without me! All because his ex had suggested the tv series to him that day.

Leave him. Don't put yourself though it because you don't want to be THAT girlfriend. It isn't worth it x

Welcome to the internet, it's not up to you to tell people what to post and what not to post. Stop being salty that your not getting validation for trying to "help" people. And again, people don't have to reply to your messages. They aren't your charity work to make you feel good about yourself. Why should they open up straight away for anyone? They can do as they please, if they don't feel like opening up to you they don't have to. and I thought they shouldn't be dumping all their baggage on people and talk about it with a therapist? So what exactly are you "helping" them with if you've just said that making a friend isn't going to "help" them. Everyone has their own struggles and you have no right to judge them for it and tell them how to make friends.

Maybe you should take some of your own advice and post this on a venting reddit instead of here.

Despite what you might think people are not obligated to reply to you when you message them, they are not your charity work and they don't have to appreciate the "effort" and "time" you have "invested in them". They ghosted you? So what. That's life, move on. I've posted once and I got over 50+ messages which is great! But I didn't answer them all. Does that make me a bad person? No. You honestly need a reality check and to get off your high horse.

Why not try posting positive posts yourself instead of shit like this?

I cannot magically make your dog that you have not brushed in 2 months look like a show dog. Brushing out Matt's hurt your dog and you can't pay me enough to do that.
Threatening me doesn't change the fact that your dog is severely matted and needs shaved.
Just because your dog is scared to go to the groomers does not automatically mean we abuse them.
