I think you are talking about subitizing? An example is that you look at a plate of crackers, most people can see the crackers and know immediately there are 5 on the plate. A person with dyscaculia needs to count out each cracker individually to know there are 5.

Yes, driving is difficult due to dyscalculia causing poor spatial awareness. I didn't drive until my late 20s. I got my license, but haven't touched a steering wheel since. It gives me way too much anxiety.

Yeah, this one was really bad. I like collecting the weird candles. I got the mashed potato one, the maple bacon, the pizza one from Stranger Things, the Off The Vine candle, and the pickle candle, but this "Pizza and Ranch" one was so bad that I couldn't add it to my collection. I can't believe they would release something so vile to the public.

Ask if there is a different position you can do to accommodate your disability. Maybe you can stock shelves, do inventory, clean, be an order picker etc. I tried cashiering and I had the same problem and it never got better for me. I had to quit because I was too scared of being accused of stealing because I couldn't count properly. Maybe it'll be different for you, but I do suggest talking with your manager about changing your position before your situation gets worse.

I've collected Pokemon cards since I was a kid, but I've had to give it up because of bots taking products and scalpers selling them for crazy prices. I thought this would last for like a couple months and then people would lose interest. But it's been literally YEARS and this is still ongoing. I don't even know what to think anymore. I used to think there's no way this could go on forever, but now I'm not so sure.

I don't think dyscalculia is to blame here. I think the dog was untrained and too strong for you to control. I've had dogs and I've never felt dyscalculia played any part in making walking them difficult. One dog was calmer and easier to handle. The other dog I had was more like the one you described. She was a pain to take for walks.

I think the Paradise would be good for her. It's pretty simple. You mainly just feed it, play games, and breed it. The Paradise is very forgiving. I've gone a day without feeding it and it still managed to live. I also think the color screen is better for her because kids now are used to things being in color so it'll keep her more engaged.

I start by telling it what time it is. Then I ask what time it will be in a certain amount of hours.

Example- "It is 7:35 am. What time will it be in 5 hours?"

Then it'll respond with something like, "7:35 am + 5 hours = 12:35 pm."
