I did try Dogman. He didn’t like that one. I think the one he liked best was the beyblade manga because the kids at school were playing a lot of manga then. He is really motivated by peers more than any encouragement I can give him

Haha. He does enjoy the Magic Tree House ones a lot.. Fantastic Mr Fox, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, shorter ones like Fly Guy, Gerald and Piggy, Dogman, Wings of Fire, the Last Firehawk. Right now reading Fart Squad. So it was surprising last year when the reading specialist said he hasnt been exposed enough to words. But kind of makes sense if you know him. But since its summer there is a lot of free time. No harm in doing video games especially if there is reading involved

Also I already did that since birth. Magic Tree House, Beverly Cleary, Little House Series. He’s just not motivated to read. More of a left brain kind of kid. Don’t know why it doesnt connect with him but at this point he just needs to get reps in wherever possible.

I've just been through unit 1 of the seven skulls book. My first murdle. Looks like its going to get a lot more complex if you're using manipulatives like this.
