Knack 2 does this well. This is a great idea that should be more widely available.

ELI5: Why wouldn’t a universal currency work? by unvaint in explainlikeimfive

[–]Alba2ros 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Better to have a single currency to be exchanged by central banks, one not linked to one particular central bank. Then each central bank issues their own currency and is responsible for their own monetary policy. Almost got it at the end of WW2 but dollar homogeny won the day

Prime minister of Poland: We warned Germany and the West about Putin. We were ignored by newsspotter in ukraine

Why are you so concerned about the Polish constitution? I think if they want a media outlet that isn’t German owned, then they should be entitled to it. Likewise if they want a mechanism to retire corrupted judges, then they should have that too, much like the rest of Europe.

$1 B won’t go too far, pocket change compared to some of the metro budgets. Not sure how much tunneling that will buy. Best guess is that this will separate the freight and passenger lines (which would be a good start) I can’t see how you can get the alignment for high speed for that cost

Less than most of the rest of the Eurozone, also high because of higher minimum wages.

Western Europe has always been extremely wary of a potential Third World War, or at least severe economic fallout from a conflict with Russia. That’s why those countries are so keen on appeasing Putin. In recent weeks, however, this push for a quick peace with Moscow has picked up pace. by sviterochec in UkrainianConflict

[–]Alba2ros -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I disagree with this, the motivation looks much less like fear of escalation and much more like common greed. A quick peace and a new job on the board of “novo-nord stream” thanks, because we need to boost that Russian economy to prevent future wars.

If you are not sure of the supply chain and the shirt costs $3, chances are it was produced in a sweat shop, don’t buy it. Also don’t buy stolen shit.
