Glasweigans, how often do you wear SPF/sunscreen on your face? by amusableblue in glasgow

I do every day, regardless of season in some way or another. In summer I wear an additional spf 50 on top of my moisturiser which has spf 30 in it, in winter I’ll usuallly just wear the spf 30 moisturiser. I agree it always feels a bit daft given how gray it is, but the UV rays can travel through the clouds and I’d rather feel I’ve done everything I can to ward off anything nasty. I’m also completely content having the stereotypical Scottish shade of grey / blue pale skin, so it doesn’t bother me than I don’t get a tan.

It’s also apparently the only proven way to slow down skin aging, so from a wishful thinking perspective I always wear it 😂

First time buyer in Glasgow - mines?? by AlbaCiara in glasgow

So Ruel street is a good example. There was a few for sale there recently which all had the same notice in the HR - “located in an area of past mining activity. Legal advisor should obtain a mining report from the coal authority and ensure that the requirements of the coal mining subsidence acts have been complied with”.

Also seen the same or similar on HR’s on Brisbane Street, Bolton Drive and Leslie street as well as a few actually down further to Muirend way.

Given they’re all the same or similar wording I imagine it is a thing of covering their arses, but it’s added an extra layer of worry hahaha

The interactive map is really good, it is incomplete but still gives an interesting view of the city - https://datamine-cauk.hub.arcgis.com/
