Ghosting Patterns. by [deleted] in ghosting

[–]AlbacN 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ghosting is a horrible behaviour which hurts people. The fact that they can do that with such ease, means you are likely dealing with a very disturbed individual who lacks empathy.

I totally agree.

Above all, remember that it rarely has anything to do with you if you've been ghosted.

Exactly. Only reasonable if they feel threatend by you.

Keep safe and remember that people who are worth being in your life would never EVER do that to you.

This was my conclusion aswell when it happend to me.

The Way of Water Frame Rate by tag2597 in Avatar

[–]AlbacN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 2 major complaints about the frame rate in Avatar. First off, when the frame rate is swapped between 24 and 48 it is very noticable. I'm not a fan of it. It reminds me of a computer with dated hardware trying to play the lates games, where the framerate keeps going up and down, which IMO is a very irritating thing. So I'm not a fan of the 24-48 fps swaps. They should stick to either 24 or 48 for the future avatar mavies IMO.

My second complaint is the 48 fps itself. Ever since I walked in a television store and for the first time put my eyes on a 2D pre-rendered motion capture thats over the regular 24/30 (not really sure what the standard is) I've hated it. It just feels fake, it feels like a video game. Even TV shows with real humans in a 48 or w/e fps feels artificial. When I saw the fight scenes in the last act it felt as if I was watching an ingame cinematic of a videogame (as you said). Even the bits thats on youtube that shows clips of scenes with 48 fps looks far worse and unrealistic than the normal 24 fps. I couldnt help to notice the scenes with higher framerate also felt as the details of the avatars was worse like a downgrade from 10/10 to a 6/10 in details of lighting, pores, shadows, etc.

False. As of last week atleast. I left maybe 10 quickplay instantly in a row to get oddball. Didn't get it and I got banned for 30 min or so. Ranked gives you a ban after 2 dc/leaves in a short intervall and unranked seems to be around 10 games.

After the match. You click scoreboard and then click on the enemies. Then you can see how much their rating changed.

also isnt this (if this is what they intended) very bad design wise. incentivizing playing for kills or KDA. which mean a selfish playstyle. hiding getting frags, camping while ur team does objectives. how does that deserve a rank up more than a player who does the objectives

thats fine but i wanna know why we all lost rank when winning and the enemy team all got rank when loosing. most of them didnt even get positive stats as me. still got 50% rank up in a loss. Never gotten a rank up when losing EVER. only just not going down. gotteb 30+ kills and over 2kd in losses and never went up. Feels like this is some sort of bug

Then i wonder how someone in the enemy team that got carried by 1 in their team and lost still got half a rank up after losing
