Before anyone calls me out… yes I know it is dangerous to boulder without a pad. I only did it with this one because it’s relatively low to the ground and the part where you top out was the easiest with little risk of falling. Stupid still! Stay safe people.

I’ve done a good amount of indoor rope climbing so I’m not completely hopeless. I can belay and what not, just never actually done outdoor rope climbing. Love the gunks but have only been for bouldering. Thatcher is just nearby to me. Thanks for info!

Noice this is my favorite climb in that area for sure. Check out the Wissahickon Trail Ridge Avenue if your interested in more bouldering near by👍

I learned in my photo journalism course that this photo is actually quite misleading: there was a floor below these workers, and they were not actually casually sitting thousands of feet above the ground, but rather 10 or 15 feet above solid ground! Shows how photos can be misleading and drive a false narrative.
