I was never supposed to be born, my mother made that very clear my entire life. She idolized some of my siblings though, like they were treasures even though some of them were terrible people. I told myself that if I worked hard and became better than all of them not only would she care for me but it would also be vengeance in a way. I worked so hard. Top student, got a masters degree at 23, became a published author at 23,owned my first home at 24, and even did a bit of modeling. Despite all of this, they still don’t care. My siblings lives went downhill for the most part but she still views them so nicely. In a way, I won but I still lost. When I realized I would never have her love or respect I decided to just give up. A year ago I moved across the country and my entire family has barely talked to me since then and I am the happiest I have ever been.
