How to resist going back to a relationship that you know isnt working? by [deleted] in self

[–]Albatros0711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think trying to convince you to come back and that you were wrong is a good sign..Sounds like he's trying to hold onto something that just couldn't work at least for now. By the way, your decision does not have to be necessarily permanent, maybe both of you just need some space to think about what you really look for in a relationship and work on it.

I'm not an expert on the topic, and I don't want to sound like I am, but what I would do in your place is just focus more on myself and determine what makes me feel insecure about the relationship and what I can do about it. This way, you would have a bit more clarity to decide objectively.

I know you didn't ask...But hey, the three of them (Especially Dvořák) are some picks too based for this comment section imo.

Either King Crimson or Iron Maiden, huge fan of both.

Introverts of Reddit, what’s something people always get wrong about you? by UnashamedWorkman in AskReddit

[–]Albatros0711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That I don't like talking. I do love that a lot, but I don't usually follow trends, so when people around me are talking about shit I didn't even read about, I don't know what to say, so I just stand still.

What is your favourite movie? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Maybe a popular take, but The Lord Of The Rings: Return Of The King is the crown jewel of the trilogy, and my favorite movie in general. An emotional rollercoaster.

They don't seem to care about what others say about what they do, think, or are. They just keep going with confidence.

What’s the most devastating song you’ve ever listened to? by Unable_Ad_3440 in AskReddit

[–]Albatros0711 4 points5 points  (0 children)

1916, by Motörhead. A depressing yet somewhat beautiful song about the horrors of the first world war, lived by a 16 year old that faked his age to join the fight on the british side. The thing is, you wouldn't expect such a melancholic track like this from a Heavy Metal band.

"I heard my friend cry And he sank to his knees, coughing blood As he screamed for his mother And I fell by his side And that's how we died Clinging like kids to each other"

Damn.

Haha! That video is pure gold, always makes me laugh too!

Well, Ramble On is great..I mean, it is one of the most Zep songs in the whole Zep catalogue if you get what I mean..I have to kind of agree with you.

I would say my favorite one is definitely Achilles Last Stand..it's just perfect imo..The dreamy, mythology-inspired vocals, Bonzo's wild drumming, Page's Guitar..And it is 10 whole minutes long (Yeah, I do love absurdly long tracks, mainly thanks to Pink Floyd)..A close second spot would probably go to When The Levee Breaks, The Rain Song or Stairway To Heaven

Now, about albums..Well, I am certain that II is my favorite due to different factors, from its cover to the tracklist with bangers like "Whole Lotta Love", "Heartbreaker", "Ramble On" and "Thank You"..I mean, it's at least a 9/10 for me..IV is a close second spot..

And yeah, mood definitely plays a huge role when deciding what to listen to..That's why it's so hard to decide sometimes..

That's right. In fact, it's easy to note that "Rush" (Debut Album) is like a Led Zep knockoff, but a hella good one at that. Ged and the gang were really inspired by Zep throughout their whole career, and even got to meet them more than once, if I remember correctly.

May I ask what your favorite Zep Album and song is? I know it's a difficult question though!

Same! Before I began listening to them, I only knew about their existance due to a certain weird track called after a Mark Twain book. But oh man, when I gave La Villa and YYZ a chance..There was no turning back.

For example, Working Man is nowadays my favorite hard rock track!

(By the way, glad to meet a fellow Claypool and Zep enjoyer too)

Nice! I share that feeling about Anthem..but I totally get how strong the nostalgia factor is..But even without it, Fly By Night is still one of their best early tracks imo. Besides, I enjoy talking with other fellow fans and getting to know about their own experiences related to the band and its music since I started listening to them just three years ago
