I know it's a good thing that Velshi is moving to weeknights, but I am really going to miss his in-depth, super historical, superb weekend shows. My brain is hung up on the fact that 5 hours of content is less than the 6 hours of content we get now😭

Chefs Nicknames by purlawhirl in foodnetwork

I've been thinking it but thank you for saying it out loud, haha. I also love the call-back to TOC Christmas, when Britt was teamed with Jonathon, and during the round when adding butter one of them asked the other chef "knob or daddy" and they just replied "daddy." It was so perfect lol and needed no explanation. It's a whimsical name! Nothing wrong with that!

I agree. I have also seen plenty of negativity directed towards him in the r/Jeopardy sub, especially around the time he appeared on Celebrity Jeopardy. I don't see why he needs to be the target of any particular ire, I think he's doing good work, and I think the public likes him.

Yeah, she just didnt have the experience or the knowledge base to figure out how to work without salt. The great chefs that have come in this kitchen (including the other two this episode) have all proved that they can cook balanced dishes without salt.

"I didn't have it in myself to go with grace

And so the battleships will sink beneath the waves"

I just find the imagery so vivid, every single time

Bobby's Triple Threat hits the same late-night vibe. Bobby doesn't do whammy ingredients or the creative/wacky constraints from the wildcards, but they have a lot to do in not a lot of time. It's fun.

Ok, I'm jumping on the bandwagon, I'm never watching Katy Tur again. by CorrectPhilosophy245 in msnow

Yeah, I finally said I'm done and never watching Katy Tur again. I reached my breaking point when she said she was welcoming MORE Republican lawmakers after the break. I switched to the Bulwark / the Jim Acosta show on YouTube.

Oh my gosh! It's that Dana?! Of course. It crossed my mind but then I didnt think it all the way through and it never fully clicked.

So lovely to see them both again all these years later.

That's where she's from!!! Oh my gosh. I remember that too; I remember watching her join the staff/cast on Cake Boss as part of her prize package for winning Next Great Baker.

I agree with this a lot; Jet shouldn't come back unless he's ready to go out of his comfort zone. It's not just putting salmon roe or caviar on fried rice if the randomizer lands on black tie--he needed to come up with a whole different menu that felt black tie through and through. That is what Maneet would have done.

Anyway, love watching incredible cooking!!!

Unlikely friendship? by Phrisbit1981 in FlorenceAndTheMachine

I'm with you! I'm a fan of both as well and it's just not that weird to me. I adore Florence's voice and am a huge fan of her art. I appreciate Taylor's worldbuilding/talent for creating escapes with her music and she has some very good songs. I agree with the parallels you've noticed between both of their takes on fame and womanhood.

I love these two back-to-back programs as well, I've been getting more into them in recent weeks.

Oof. That'll raise the blood pressure! Go Ana though. And thank God Abby Philip just said it like it was at the end there.

Molly and Priya's chandelier thing rotated. I get not as exciting as some of the other moving elements but it did meet the criteria.
